Greg McElroy responds to Kayvon Thibodeaux’s comments about quality of education at Alabama – Saturday Down South
Add Greg McElroy to the list of people that have gone on the record regarding Kayvon Thibodeaux’s comments on the quality of education at Alabama.
McElroy, of course, has a vested interest in the subject as he graduated from the university in 3 years with a 3.85 GPA and later received a 4.0 while obtaining a master’s degree. So it wasn’t a surprise that he had such a strong reaction to what Thibodeaux said during a Monday interview with Joel Klatt.
“I just take real personal offense, man,” McElroy said on Thursday during “McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning” on WJOX in Birmingham. “I genuinely do. I don’t care. Don’t come. If you think so little of us, don’t come. Fine by me, because I know the people that live in this state. I chose Alabama, because I love Alabama.”
McElroy also issued a challenge to Thibodeaux.
“As someone who has always taken his academic situation very seriously, I’ll just come at him with this‐if he’d like to take an IQ test, I’m available. If he’d like to take the Wonderlic test, I’m available,” he said. “As a proud graduate with multiple degrees from Alabama, I will put my degree up against his any day of the week…
“I would be willing to bet that Harvard didn’t offer him. I think they probably would have taken him, but Harvard did offer me—as did Yale, as did Princeton, as did almost every Ivy League school along with Duke, Stanford, Northwestern and Vanderbilt. And I chose Alabama, so put ‘er there, Kayvon Thibodeaux.”

My money is on Greg winning any intelligence test. How smart must you be to throw shade at another university right before an NFL team is going to offer you millions of dollars to come play a game.
Yeah, Greg was a finalist for a Rhodes Scholarship. Dummies don’t get that.
Greg also threw shade at Cam Newton’s intelligence when they were trying to get drafted…he’s one of those guys who is always talking about how smart he is….yet the only thing he’s doing with that brain and his Alabama degree is being an inferior Terry Bradshaw.
It really wasn’t smart of him to make those comments about Alabama, there is no reason for them. It makes him sound jealous and petty.
Full disclosure, I don’t have much use for GM, but BAMA has one of the oldest engineering schools in the nation. Arguably the toughest major offered at any school. Oregon doesn’t offer engineering, just sayin.
Alabama has one of the best Business Schools in the nation and their school of Anthropology is well recognized as well. This turd got a degree where you can Major in wokeism.

Also, he didn’t say “astigmatism”, he said “stigmatism” which is “the condition of having stigmas”.
I’m obviously a Bama fan to the core but I don’t tolerate anyone digging on the quality of education at ANY of the SEC schools. My daughter wants to be a veterinarian and I’ve told her to look at Auburn and MS ST. Great vet schools. SEC Schools are excellent schools.
