Boris Johnson has been mocked online for claiming he believed a Downing Street party was a “work event”.

A parody account of Larry, the cat who lives at No 10 as the “chief mouser”, joked he was looking for a new housemate.
“Wanted: New housemate for Westminster based feline,” the account tweeted.
