Karnataka logs 14,473 new Covid-19 cases, 5 deaths
Karnataka logged 14,473 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, said the state government on Wednesday. As many as five people succumbed to the infection during the period. With this, the death toll in the state mounted to 38,379.

11,698 new Covid-19 cases in Karnataka, 4 deaths
Karnataka on Monday recorded a slight dip in fresh Covid-19 cases at 11,698 and 4 deaths, taking the tally to 30,63,656 and the death toll to 38,374. The state has been witnessing a steady surge in cases since December last week and had reported 12,000 daily cases on Sunday.Of the new cases on Monday, 9,221 were from Bengaluru Urban that saw 829 people being discharged and two deaths.The total number of active cases across the state is now 60,148. Truck falls on 2 cars, bike; 6 killed on Bengaluru-Mysuru Road
Three men, two women and a minor boy were killed when a rashly driven tipper truck carrying gravel hit the median and fell on two cars and a motorcycle on Mysuru Road, near Kumbalagodu, on the outskirts of Bengaluru, on Monday.The accident occurred around 7pm when the city-bound truck rammed the median and fell to its left, pouring the load of gravel on the cars and the bike.
