Welbeck fires a header over the bar, there's a late appeal for a Brighton penalty, but it ends 1-1.

A frantic end to that game. Phew.

Graham Potter still hasn't beaten Palace since taking over.

It ends all level after Joachim Andersen sends the ball into his own net from Neal Maupay's dangerous low cross.

How haven't #BHAFC won it?

No way! A late equaliser back in September, a late equaliser now.

Neal Maupay, who scored in the reverse fixture, is involved again. He does brilliantly to get to the byline, and his cross ricochets off Joachim Andersen and rolls past Butland.

It's the least Brighton deserve, overall, but particularly cruel on the excellent Andersen.

Another late goal, anyone?
Maupay's cross. Andersen, who's been excellent, sticks out a right foot, goes under Butland (87).
Now can Brighton get the win they deserve. #BHAFC #CPFC #BHACRY https://t.co/LOcHZ5OmBM

File this under "things nobody wants to see". (But they do, secretly).

Quite the stat to infuriate Graham Potter.
4 – Crystal Palace have scored with their last four shots target against Brighton at the Amex Stadium in the Premier League. Accuracy.

Wow. Conor Gallagher against the run of the play.

He's scarcely had a touch all game. The ball is cut back to him, he toes it down, and fires it into a tiny gap in the far corner.

Remarkable. Brighton will be furious.

Brighton are dominant, but just can't force a goal.

Lamptey on for the hosts, as Trossard has a sharp shot saved by Butland.

Derby County’s administrators have admitted that they have not finalised plans for how to fund the club until the end of the season.

They also revealed that three parties have so far made offers for the club, which entered administration in September.

Wayne Rooney’s side currently sit bottom of the Championship, having been deducted a total of 21 points this season, and are 12 points from safety.

The implication of Derby’s administrators’ inability to finalise funding models is that the EFL will not process player registrations.

This resulted in the departure of 39-year-old centre-back Phil Jagielka earlier on Friday, whose short-term contract the club had hoped to extend.

And it's late joy for Gabon!

All looked lost in the 88th minute, but then Jim Allevinah got involved.

A spectacular goal – and Ghana's opener wasn't half-bad either.
Drama at #AFCON2021 as Jim Allevinah scored a late equaliser against Ghana to secure a point for Gabon.

GOAL DISALLOWED!

The resulting corner makes its way to the far post, and Neal Maupay bundles it into the net to break Palace hearts (again).

Seemingly.

Rob Jones was told to have a look at VAR (again) and rules it out for a foul on the keeper.

Palace survive (again).
Burn's header from a corner.
Did Butland have two hands on it as Maupay challenged and then tucked it in?

PENALTY SAVE!

It's VAR, it's a penalty, and it's Pascal Gross.

Jack Butland picks up a flare, casually lobs it to one side, and saves his spot-kick, which was fired straight down the middle.

The penalty was given after Will Hughes hauled down Joel Ward.

But wait…

Lofty claims from Warnock. Nice to see he doesn't bear ill will towards his former employers.

Warnock told talkSPORT Breakfast: “They’ve got great individuals but not a team and I don’t see that coming.

“They’ve got my old team Middlesbrough in the next round of the FA Cup and I wouldn’t swap any of their defenders for the back three at Middlesbrough – Dael Fry, Anfernee Dijksteele and Paddy McNair.

“I think they’re better than Man United‘s defence.”

Arsenal are confident that there is no serious situation around Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s health, following reports that the striker was suffering from “heart lesions” after recovering from COVID-19.

Aubameyang was not named in Gabon’s team for their Africa Cup of Nations match with Ghana, a measure which Arsenal understand as precautionary.

Arsenal's doctors are thought to have spoken to Gabon’s medics, and have been reassured that Aubameyang is feeling well, and the situation is not serious.

The Gabon captain has not featured in either of Gabon’s opening two matches in the competition after testing positive for COVID-19 on January 6.

Andy Naylor has the answers. A blow, with captain Lewis Dunk still out.
A minor injury keeps Shane Duffy out of Brighton's squad.
He was sent-off on the only occasion that the margin between Brighton and Palace in PL meetings has been more than one goal.

They lost their opener to Morocco, but Ghana have just gone ahead in today's biggest AFCON clash.

A lovely finish from Andre Ayew, low into the bottom corner.

The Athletic's resident Ghana supporter Carl Anka is ecstatic.

From The Athletic's Arsenal and Tottenham writers.
The Premier League opened Pandora's box with the postponement rules.
This request isn't a big surprise but at the same time it has not been met supportively by Tottenham, to say the least.

Oof, that's a big signing for Rangers!
